The staff will attempt to catch all rule-breaking messages, and we appreciate being told of any we miss or haven’t yet seen. Please remember that messages are posted as soon as you enter them. The staff watches for rule-breaking messages, but may not see them before you do.
While participating in the Financial Advisor Forum, please observe the following rules:
a) Members should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to termination of your membership.
b) Members should use an appropriate, descriptive title when posting a new topic. Examples of bad titles include; "Help me!", "I'm stuck!", "I've got an error!", etc. Examples of good titles include; "Need help with networking at dinner events", "Should I hire another assistant?", etc.
c) While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice.
d) Please note that advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are not allowed on the Financial Advisor Forum.
e) The posting of links to rival consulting sites is not permitted. If you do, your post will be subject to editing by a moderator or administrator of The Oechsli Institute.
f) Impersonation of another user or a public figure living or dead is illegal and against the forum rules as is the use of obscene or otherwise offensive handles.
g) Be patient, it may take some time for a response. It is free.
h) Avatar Rules:
* Avatar sizes are limited to 100x150.
* Max size for your avatar is 50 kb.
* You can upload your own avatar if you want.
i) While these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
